Blocking help

Hello, I've downloaded and use parts of DuskTroopers block all maxis mod, but I want to be a bit more specific. I want to block all the R$$ and R$ houses, but not the condos / apartment / highrises. In having looked at the data using the ilive reader, this should be possible. What I have tried so far is selecting all the entries related to blocking the houses and then saving them to a new dat, however when I try to access the new dat file and analyse for exemplars, nothing comes up. What am I doing wrong and how can I do what I want it to do?

Do you have any BAT's to take the place of the Maxis content you block??

If you don't have alternatives, I think the mod doesn't work.

Yes I have plenty of BAT's to take the place of the maxis content, I want to keep the maxis high rises/apartments but I want to block the maxis houses only. Is there not a simple way to copy that data from the dat file and paste it into another dat file?

Your best option would be to use dhamp's No Maxis Buildings Mod v2. It only has blockers for the Maxis residential and commercial buildings, but you can use another mod to block the Maxis industrial buildings. These blockers are much more modular than the other mods out there, so you can block certain classes of buildings like low-stage houses for example. It's good stuff.

Just one warning... This mod is partially incompatible with the CAM. If you do use CAM, you shouldn't install any blockers for stage 7-8 buildings. Otherwise, these will override some changes made by CAM.

There is a CAMpatible Block Maxis mod.. over at the LEX (BSC Lot Exchange) ..must be registered for the LEX to see the download button...

That is exactly what I needed, thankyou very much

And I don't use CAM, so it's no bother, nice to know there is a compatible version about though.
