Region generator?

Hello! I am an old time fan of SimCity since it was on the...heck I may have had it on the commodore I can't remember...but anyway I've been out of it for years and this weekend went shopping with the kids and found The SimCity Box and it has ignited my love for the game again. But I was always big on molding my entire region first and in my frustrating search I can not find the Terrain generator. In the process I discovered that could only generate each city square anyway but I also discovered this fun site

So I wanted to introduce myself since I am back in the city building addiction and may be coming here often but also was wondering if there are any ways to generate random regions or what would be the best way to do it entirely myself. Thanks for any info in helping me get started!

As far as i know when regarding region generating, you either:

A: Do it yourself manually tile by tile in-game.

B: Download either SC4Mapper or SC4Terraformer, and create your own regions in there, and then export them to your game.

C: Download said program(s), and then search the STEX for already pre-made regions, download those, open them in said program(s), and then simply export them to play on.

I don't think there's a program out there that randomly generates a region to play on.

Thank you both! I think Landscape designer will be a good start until I get back into the groove of the game and want to expirement more with the other programs.
