The Biggest news is the dissolving of the Big 12 Conference.

Nebraska and Colorado left last year

Last week Texas A&M said they were leaving after this season.

Say good buy to this conference.This will be its last season.

Oklahoma also leaving

A shame TCU lost thier opener

Well, the "Pac" in Pac-12 won't be all that accurate if Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech join

As far as week one, here are the big highlights...

(3) Oregon once again can't win a big game away from their conference, (4) Louisiana State (LSU) wins 40-27.

Defending champs (23) Auburn barely survive against an unranked Utah State, but end up winning with a rally in the end. (25) Southern California (USC) also came close to losing against Minnesota in the Colosseum.

(5) Boise State beats (19) Georgia 35-21 in Atlanta.

The overrated (16) Notre Dame falls at home 23-20 to South Florida. It was one of many games in the Midwest playing in game-halting weather.

And as EB said, Baylor thumped (14) Texas Christian (TCU) 48-50

This is going to be a very interesting season...

Got back from South Carolina/ECU a while ago. We pulled away at the end, but it was close in the first half; mainly since Spurrier (our coach) decided to start our backup QB just to spite our starter

Also, Texas A&M is coming to the SEC, probly the West division.

We'll see about A&M... there'd probably need to be 1 or 3 more teams to keep the divisions balanced. Perhaps some cherrypicking may be in order...

That is most certainly designed by a committee. You know, one of those large corporate beasts with many legs and no brains. It is not only dull, it totally lacks pizazz.
