Today was the Pan American torch lighting, in Teotihuacan. Its travel will be around all the country, I think it is strange why It will not to travel around all the continent.

Cool. I wonder why we never get to see these games on TV.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

probably only on ESPN7 at 4AM

With only quick look thru the site it never mentions and TV channels

you would think the soccer would at least be televised.

Edit: According to Wiki Televisa and TV Azteca are televising them.

your in luck if you get those stations.

Ill have to look at my channel line up.

TSN or TSN2 and perhaps BOLD will carry this event. BOLD carries the world figure skating events live and this is more important.

Nice but in England there is a 0 (zero) percent chance of it being shown even though I see the flag of the falklands islands and those are british over seas territories.

Of all non-American countries, one would expect better response than that from the flagship of the Commonwealth of Nations. Of course, because of the ridiculous prices, I suspect you'll have very low if not zero attendance at the 2012 Olympics from the Commonwealth.

I wonder if I can take winter vacation there? The games would most likely be over at that point but I miss my family and would love to see the new buildings.

I recognize Plaza Del Sol (hotel district) but I cannot see El Centro (downtown shopping and museum district).

If the panorama is a circle, El Centro de Guadalajara (the Downtown) is more at the right. The panorama shows the west of the city.

Yesterday was the opening ceremony. It was... Awesome!! I like it too much, more better than Rio 2006, at the level of Vancouver 2010. Simply awesome. The photos can be founded here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150420367006756.415247.322249046755&type=3

That's right. In less of 10 minutes will start the closing of this games. Hope so you'll be watching it there in Canada (or an alternative: http://clausura.guadalajara2011.org.mx/ ).

    This are the final results:

Well, this edition has finished. I have to say, as I am a Tapatio, this two weeks were too amazing, out of the normal. Usually the city is boring when nothing is happening, specially this time when there is nothing. This games changed the vision totally, hope so the eyes of the foreign people had changed too.

Is something complicated how to express this. The legacy that the games could bring to the city is too big. We noticed that we can do everything that we want outside the capital. Maybe we are a city of province, but we can do everything kind of events.

So thank you to all America for bring us the oportunity to organize this games. See you in Toronto 2015.

Then, what's next? The year didn't finished yet: in november the germans invade the city, they're guest of honor for the XXV edition of the International Book Fair (FIL, Feria Internacional del Libro); next years we have many competitions in the city as swimming and pelota vasca. Let me look for all the agenda.

I am not surprised by the USA's victory though I am surprised how well Cuba performed compared to Mexico.

Start planning a vacation in Toronto in 2015. Not only is it the largest city in Canada but I think it now outdoes Montreal as more cosmopolitan.

The organizers are having trouble getting the games off the ground due to the complexity of things in the city. Three major league sports teams plus a lot of minor league stuff pretty much takes up the time of sports fans, so planning a giant bash of summer athletics will be initially a hard sell. Toronto has everything from cricket to wind surfing.
