Don't be the guy to start the Forza / Gran Turismo debate! There is no way to win this arguement, each will not give up on their own preference. Though I do agree that PD kinda slacked off on GT5 a bit but then I've never played Forza either.

Yeah, that's why I prefaced my argument in the first paragraph by saying GT people and Forza people won't have their minds changed, same as Mac vs. PC (see also Yankees/Red Sox, Ohio State/Michigan, Ford/Chevy, Coke/Pepsi, etc). Besides, the world is big enough for both GT AND Forza. There are even some people who play both.

Don't judge me, I'm not for that stupid xbox/ps3 war, I have both systems and tried both games, I play both systems as much as they are better in their own ways, Forza is just better than GT5 in my opinion.

I still prefer GT5 the reason why might be because I only own a PS3. But I have also been a fan of the series since the first game back in the days of the PSone and own all the numbered games GT1-5. When GT5 came out I didn't have the high expectations like many others I just expected another GT game and that is what I got.I dont care much about the graphics so I don't mind about all the standard cars in the game or the graphical details on the tracks. What matters for me is the tracks and gameplay. The driving in the game is as good as it has always been, there is a huge selection of cars, there is a massive online and most tracks in the game are fun. However there is things that I expected from the game but didn't get such as many tracks from earlier games has been left out, the a-spec career felt short and there is not enough rally events in the game. I appreciate the updates and the new DLC the game got.

What comes to Froza 4 I'm sure its an excellent driving sim too with a lot of content and I would for sure buy it for PS3 if that would be possible( I know its never gonna happen). I will not go out and buy a 360 only because of one game, but I hope I get the chance to play the game at a friends place.

What comes to the console war I hate it and I hope it does not start here.

A-spec is short, but I love the seasonal events. I try to play as many as I can, and it's helpful that there are always new ones every week or two. With so many cars it's not hard to think of new categories.

Seasonal Events are my favorite because they earn you so much money which allows you to just go crazy in the UCD.

Yeah I love the seasonal events and many of them provide more challenge than the races in a-spec mode

I'll be playing a bit of catch-up with the game next weekend as my wife and kid go to the in-laws to hang out for a while. I'm looking forward to it.

Today I finally downloaded all the DLC released for GT5 and I like it more than I thought I would. I love the 2 new tracks and the touring cars are cool. I was surprised when the cars showed up in the car deliveries I thought they would show up in the dealership or in GT auto as a an upgrade for stock versions of the cars. The paints and other items are a nice addition too you can dress up your driver as the Stig or paint your new cars in unique colors.

Funny thing is I cant stop playing GT5 now even if I just got Arkham City and will soon be getting Uncharted 3.

Just wanted to tell that there is a special Time Trial event going on in Seasonal Events and you get a Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec (GT Academy edition) for participating. I did the event got the gold medal and I was happy because I placed among the 4000 best in worldwide rankings

GT5 is now getting an small 2.02 update

It improves many minor issues most notable stuff is that

-you can now change rims on standard cars

-you get a Toyota 86 GT 2012 the production model of the FT-86 concept model

-you can download a family upgrade pack for previous DLC that make DLC content available for all users on the same ps3

-Previous DLC cars appear in the new car dealership but you still have to buy the DLC

Also new DLC:

A car pack including 4 new cars

-VW Scirocco R 2010

-VW Golf VI R 2010

-Mini Cooper S 2011

-And yet another Nissan GT-R this time a 2012 black edition model

This DLC will be about 4€

This one was a very small update and I expected a lot more from the DLC at least some new tracks

but I'm happy for the two new VW in the car pack. I really hope we will see better DLC in the future, after

all Polyphony has confirmed that the game will get new DLC every 2nd month.

I would like to dl the tracks from the last DLC and get the cars from the new DLC. I'll probably fire up the ol' PS3 and dl the 2.02 update this weekend.
