Hello simtropolis!

Anyone looking forwards to the new Driver? I know I am! , it's been countless delays and now it's finally coming out in September 6th of this year. So far I've been looking at the official licensed cars , gameplay , multiplayer and so on. Down below is a list of things I like and dislike below of the info so far for the game

LIKES

-The huge open world city of San Francisco and with the looks of it , looks like it's full of detail.

-The Cars,now this is the first Driver to have licensed cars(over 130) and they've made a great diversity of Supercars,classic muscles and normal cars. The cars can be found here http://www.igcd.net/...&width=1440-The

-Movie challenges , Ubisoft announced that there will be movie tokens spread around San Francisco. These tokens are based on famous movie car chases so far one is the Blues-brothers which takes place in the correct decade from the movie(s)all and all look very promising

-The Shift , now I know alot of people of skeptical about it , but it does indeed look fun especially in multiplayer . It can cause alot of carnage online!-

-Physics and Damage , Driver has always been good at making great driving games , but now it looks completely revolutionized with flicking around urban corners , speeding down back alleys , the tire smoke and the Engine sounds as well!

DISLIKES

- The boost , now the is the thing I am probably disliking the most about the game. Boost in this game is very odd to me , because the Driver has always been a pure skill game and adding a nitrous boost kinda ruins the experience , but im sure in multiplayer you can switch it off.

All and all that is my only dislike! , the nitrous boost it makes it to much like burnout.

I thought in came out on August 30th but maybe it's changed since I last looked.

I'm really looking forward to this game, the open world and car selection looks amazing! Just hope it has racing wheel support and decent driving physics, if it doesn't have those it's kinda a let down.

unfortunately it does not support the wheel , Ubisoft developers said they tried but , if it did support the wheel then the whole game woulda changed. Which is probably why it got delayed a whole year!

And also they delayed a week out of no where

I always liked the series since i started playing the first one & i think this

one could turnout great so i am looking foward to it.I like the new features.

I do have mixed feelings about the shift mode it's great to select different

vehicles for a different role,but i wouldn't want that to be the only way to drive

other vehicles,classic hijacking is good enough for me.

I liked the first 2 driver games on playstaion, back in the day Driver 2 was one of the games I played a lot. However when driver jumped from ps1 to ps2 and the original xbox I felt it lost it charm there was other open world driving games that was more fun. Driver 3 was a disappointment and I didnt even try parallel lines so I do not know about that game. But Driver SF looks alright at this stage the plot and shift ability in the game seems over the top and it might actually work but in the end the things that matter in driver is car chases and the online looks promising in that sense. But I think Ill wait for the reviews on this one before getting it.

Another Driver? I thought this series died a while ago with "Parallel Lines". I haven't really played one of these since "Driver 2" on the grey box, then GTA took its place. I can remember all the hype for "Driv3r" in my local video game store ages ago, I tried it and it seemed below par. Might get the demo, might abandon video games altogether because of university.

I'm still working through GT5 so won't get it on the release date but just might get it for Christmas if the reviews are good (unlike, say, TDU2 which looked awesome but got 5.5 from IGN).

Multiplayer Demo is available next week everyone! It will give us a good taste of how multiplayer functions on Driver and alot of carnage is bound to happen!

I just looked it up, it might be in my interest. I'm more into the NFS series and GTA 4 era. On a second thought, I think I might buy it in September, it looks good, but I'll check the reviews first. Looks like it may get a B+ or B-. To be honest you just got me all excited for the game but thank god I found out about it just a month from release, any earlier I'd be impatient.

And the conversations going on in the cars your a shifting into are funny.

As I like open world games, I'll give it a shot definitely. But I must say I've never been a fan of driver, it was too much of a bad GTA clone the last couple releases

About the features I guess shift will blend in just perfect with the overall setting (a comatose dream)

the selection of cars is great, altho I would have welcomed Beemers and Minis aswell as Benz...

Ill try the demo tonite, let's see what I think about it thereafter.

btw I still don't get over the fact that there's a game that offers a demo to play. such a rare sight lately...

Well, this one isn't like GTA anymore and the graphics are just good enough, detailed buildings though, I think you will love shift. I mean come on, when will people get some brains and stop blabbering on ignorantly about features, one person said they hate the game due to only the long taillights. Really? YouTube users are just about as bad as the greedy YouTube owners.

Here is what I love most about the game:

Shift, I can drive around and cause a road rage. If you shift around different people and possibly drive an 18 wheeler, you can cause some major damage in an intersection.

I also love the car list. People have made games in the city, but the cars were always nothing like the city cars. Finally, this game doesn't have a lot of tuners, I like them, but because of their absence, you get a big variety of more realistic and not so common in other game cars. Like the Audi A4 2.0 or the A5. I'm really looking forward to this game.

Yea I'll agree with you with the lack of Japanese cars , I mean it still has the GTR and the Skyline , but I like the game because it has alot of American cars . Old and new !

But overall you still get your money's worth , the full game is going to be awesome though.

Finally played the demo last night (PSN down and was busy). Absolutely loved it, especially burning tires. Absolutely love the sound effects but the engine noises could be better. Car choice is awesome, what other game can you race in a cable van?

I keep finding myself going off topic in the demos missions. I'm always switching to a CTS-V and driving across the unlocked zones. The graphics are nice and the buildings aren't even repetitive, have not seen many buildings that appeared 3 times.
