Could you please elaborate your request a little more?

Right now it's honestly difficult to understand what you'd like to do....

And could you please avoid posting With A Capital Letter At The Beginning Of Every Single Word?

I think he needs help with textures.

Textureing is hard, but I think this X-large pano can be useful.

Here is some help with nightlights

Try and cut out a piece of the building texture you are doing.

A DIY you can also do is search for the building you are looking for in Google Images or so. Also consult the Omnibus for texturing.

So, texturing models by simply slapping some chunks of bitmaps on their faces, like you do when you make Google earth models?

That wouldn't do, at least in SC4...

Things are actually fairly more complex...

Cartoondog, could you please show us some of your models?

All the love for NYC is great, but I have not seen a great Chicago BAT uploaded for a very long time!

I should not be complaining because I didn't bother making my own Chicago BATs, though.

Anyways, this has me pretty excited, hope to see pictures soon!

Keep calm and take photographs.

Yes, we should see pictures if you want us to help you. We cannot see improvement if we cannot see anything. Wait till you see, you can quickly become awesome. Just look at harishna (You are awesome dude!). He worked hard and quickly became a BAT master. You may become one too! :thumb:

I am quite excited too, I really love Chicago buildings.

Could you post images on the board instead of linking to zipped files? I'd love to see this work but honestly I don't want to be downloading the files because of virus risks.

Im Really Confused On How To Put These Textures On All These 3DS Files.

Maybe I Should aJust Upload All My 3DS Files and see what everyone can make out of them.

I Feel so stupid cant even make a simple texture.

Sorry Everyone Ive Only Used SC4 B.A.T for a few months and i can only change colors import and export stuff

I wouldn't bother uploading the files, since people usually don't download and finish projects like that, but I would keep on working on them yourself. BATing is hard, but it's rewarding when the work you do gets progressively better. Also, for some reason there haven't been very many well done buildings from Chicago.

The buildings you're posting about are major projects though, it might be better to work on something smaller instead.

Your basic model shapes are good, but yea those projects are kinda big. But I can't wait until you make awesome Chicago BATs. So start small but think big on how you do your BATs.

Nice to see you are understanding how to texture, but posting a picture is a bit easier.

Your basic models do look quite good so far. The South Wacker is my favorite one, but like everyone said, keep it simple and not start out with super projects like skyscrapers yet.

    Keep up the good work.

It's better to just post pictures of your progress. BATs don't move so there's no need for motion, but what is needed are preview renders, properly sized (the images that the BAT gives you in their original size, not scaled up or down to be in a video), and conveniently viewable. There are sites like imageshack and photobucket which offer free image hosting.

To take screenshots of things, there should be a button on your keyboard called "Print Screen" or "Prnt Scrn" which will do that. Then you open an image editing program like Adobe Photoshop (GIMP is free and you can download it, just search google for it), and then you can go edit>paste and there it will be. Then you should crop unneeded stuff out of the image, and save it.

Paint.net is another free one which i think is better for cropping pictures than GIMP. GIMP has more photo effects though.
