    The Former 1st Lady was 93.

    Famous for starting the Betty Ford Clinic.

    What a shame. She used to be a drug/alcohol addict then she turned her life around, opened up a clinic to help others and eventually became the wife of a US president. In my book, she made an amazing change in her life and I greatly respect her for that. But sad to say, no human on earth can beat aging..

    What a shame. She used to be a drug/alcohol addict then she turned her life around, opened up a clinic to help others and eventually became the wife of a US president. In my book, she made an amazing change in her life and I greatly respect her for that. But sad to say, no human on earth can beat aging..

    Sad that she has gone, but we can remember her for the good things she did.

    She was a spectacular First Lady, and broke a lot of ice while Jerry was in office. The Betty Ford Center will be her permanent monument.
