Drive Side Issue

Hello everyone

Kind of an off the wall cant find it, so listen carefully: when i orginally got my simcity, my cars drove on the RIGHT side of the road (USA version) and my roads, along with NAM and etc, were all correct. NOW the roads are still right hand side, BUT my cars drive on the opposite O_O. So its like all twisted up and a mess. IDK what went wrong, maybe something i downloaded? no idea.. So is there a mod that fixes this? or something i can do BESIDES reinstall name for euro automa? i like having my usa style...

First, I would suggest taking everything out of your plugins and run the game in a new city to see what you actually have. Also, if you use the DrawPath cheat, do the arrows appear to be gong in the correct direction for right-hand drive?

Switching drive sides is not something that would "just happen" and there's no "mod" that would do it. There was a download that altered the appropriate registry settings in order to switch drives sides. Does that sound like something you downloaded. It would have been like a program that you had to run. There's also a way to do it manually by changing registry entries.

If it does appear to be just the automata and/or lane textures that are switched, perhaps you downloaded some type of "Euro" mod. Anything with "Euro" in the name would be something to check for.

ive been messing with this for days, ive emptied the folders. tried it with vanilla sc4d, and still get the problem. i have no idea whats wrong. i guess ill have to take out the NAM, and reinstall it for euro version :/

ive been careful for what i download since i had a HD crash a few weeks ago. like i said i have no idea what could have done this

EDIT: If i just run the NAM installer again and select LHD version will it overwrite the RHD? or do i have to manually take out the files?

You can, as long as you choose the same options that you had before. Also, you will need to remove the file named "NetworkAddonMod_Controller_RIGHT_HAND_VERSION". Also, if you had installed any of the NAM addons, you will need to be sure they have the correct drive side. Speaking of that, if you do have others installed (RHW, SAM, NWM, etc.), do you see a folder in any of them named "z-option". Perhaps there's a mix up in those?

Before doing that, you mentioned you had run the game with no plugins. Did you check the side that vehicles were using?
