Terraformed Mars Terrain Mod

I posted this already in the SimMars forum, but nobody seems to be in there.

I'm working on a mod that tries to make the terrain look like a terraformed Mars. I am a complete newcomer to this, but I have experience with basic coding in computing classes. This forum is really dead. I'll cut to the chase, I need help with a few things to get this going.

I'm in iLive Reader, and while I've created all the textures I need, I simply cannot upload them to the .dat file. Apparently, I need to convert them to .FSH files, but no matter what method I try, when I upload the .FSH textures to the .dat files, nothing appears. It just refuses to work. I'm literally stuck 1 step away from a completed mod because this program refuses to take my images.

I've got Mars beaches, Mars water, Mars rock, Mars terrain for all levels and I cannot do anything with them. I've been searching topics throughout this website, and any alternative programs I come across simply do not exist anymore or they don't work.

ANY help? Or is this forum simply too dead? This place used to be really active a few years back.

Nevermind. MultiFSH managed to produce working FSH files.

I've never tried the MultiFsh, but this one is quite decent.

As for the textures, perhaps drop the saturation of the orange ones. I just think it looks too "cartoony". The satellite Messenger recently brought back some HD (well, i don't know the pixel per meter) pictures of Mercury, perhaps some inspiration there.
