What are some of the best maps for beginners that will work well with region play?

Its in the title this time folks :D

Here's one that I use for a "sandbox" for testing and trying stuff out... (Lofton).

There are a couple things to keep in mind... You will probably need to use the raise terrain tool after rendering because the cities come out underwater. Also, many cities are close to sea level, so "digging" into the terrain won't work.

You might like New Harbour. I like it, and it is my current one with some terraforming. Has everything except mountains.

    OK, its a standard map that just renders with the game controls. No external programs needed. You might want to add a few touches with the god mode tools. I have used this map three times, and changed it each time. Currently, I changed the config.bmp to all blue to get only large cities.

    Don't be shy about terraforming it or changing the config.bmp to suit your needs. This map was generated by Landscape Designer by greyveil.
