User blogs retiring tomorrow?

I was just checking my email to find that the Userblogs were closing tomorrow. While my blog was basically a static site linking to my non-Simtropolis-hosted blog Pseudo3D's SimCity 4 (now Pseudo3D's Cities and Buildings), I realize others have invested time and effort (plus, my blog links to at least one post). What's going to happen? Are all those blogs just going to disappear?

Yes, an email was sent to every blog-owner. As I mentioned, the server where the user blogs are housed is no longer viable. There is simply not enough use for the blogs to justify the ongoing costs and maintenance.

I have not heard back from anyone after the mass emails, so I assumed everyone was OK with the closure. However, the data will not be deleted. If you require your data, PM me and I can make arrangements to have it exported and sent to you. That's the best we can do!

The D-day has been extended to April 18. Again, the data is not being destroyed, the server is going offline (physically removed from the data center).
