Okay, so a couple of months ago i stumbled across a thread on simtropolis talking about a good song to listen too while playing cities XL or a city building game.

Ive lost the thread, or it wasnt moved through the update. (So it was before the update).

I do remember, however, there being a link leading to a youtube video with a video of an almost panoramic view of a city during the day (no, not really skyscrapers) with a LOT of blue sky and some small clouds, and the image did not change/move.

I would appreciate if someone could either-

-Find the thread (good luck, ive searched everywhere)

OR

-Find the youtube video (its almost like a trance song, with a lot of Oooh's and then later a lot of higher pitched oh's, almost like there saying half of "who")

Good luck.

Here's the lyric for a song to sing while building railroads:

"Once I built a railroad,

"Made it run,

"All the trains were on time.

"Once I built a railroad

"Now its gone

"Brother can you spare a dime."

Composer unknown.

Somethng from the 1930s.

Should have updated your previous post right above using the edit button.

Anyway, do you have a staff with the tune on it you can post? Maybe the melody will trigger someone.

I was curious so I'll help out.

After about 5 minutes doing a specialty search on Google, I clicked on the first result that came up on ST CitiesXl. From your description, I don't know if it really is it. The song wasn't very trance-like, it was more soothing. And the song didn't have a frozen picture, but a panorama slideshow of cities and towns, but there were parts of blue, cloudy skies.

Here's the song from this thread: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/topic/38555-look-what-i-just-discovered/

Strikes me there was good music in SC2 and SC3. Have you listened to those?

    Yea, I have...

Another little bit of information is that I believe the song is 8 minutes, 53 seconds long, according to Itunes, which only saved a little 4-Letter word of the song because it isint on the system anymore...
