Glr For Dummies

Hello!

I've been experimenting with and building (extensively) GLR transit networks, and for the life of me, I've had no success what-so-ever.

Any network I create is never used by Sims - I'm STILL yet to see a tram running on my network!

I've also searched the forums for days now, without any luck or clues as to how to fix my problem.

I'm not an idiot (well, that's what my mum tells me), but I just can't figure out how to use the mechanics of this Mod, yet.

Is there a step-by-step 1-2-3 "GLR For Dummies" Tutorial somewhere which can teach me how to make a network that will, garanteed, work?

If not, may we create one?

Do a quick search of either "NAM" or "GLR" on youtube! I saw a pretty useful video there once. After all that if there's still no one using the rails it's probably a matter of poor placement of stations, not being near to homes and workplaces, etc..

The most common mistake new users make is not activating the GLR/tram stations they have just place. You have to drag an elevated rail stretch over the GLR station you've placed. If you're working with trams (Tram-in-road/Tram-on-road/Tram-on-street/Tram-in-avenue...) you have to drag a one-way road stretch over the station to activate it.

I've already stumbled across this problem though, always diligently activating stations - a very common problem it seems.

I'm wondering if it's a Mac problem, or somehow missing dependencies.

Maybe rather than a GLR construction guide, I need a NAM installation guide. Ha!
