    EDIT WELCOME TO PAGE THREE!

Lord, just thinking about filling up another whole region makes me feel weak at the knees - I will probably end up doing that though. I'm on my third-to-last medium terrain and I'll put some pics up later today of the city.

Well, here's the city I promised, New Bedfordshire. I wanted to call it New Bedford, but the idea of the Bedford truck just really turned me off it. It is a city situated to the south of New Portland on a lake with three rivers entering it. A cross-lake tunnel makes the whole thing a lot prettier and the beaches are all adorned with coconut trees and rocks, along with the occasional marina and waterfront hotel. I have three pictures of it. This first one is the overview:
    newbedfordshireapr705112700977.jpg
Now we move on to West Lake Rogers resort, a delectable hi-rise area:
    newbedfordshireapr705112700972.jpg
And lastly, the CBD in East Lake Rogers:
    newbedfordshireapr705112700974.jpg
Now, I am going to start up a poll. Which of the cities I have put up here do you like most? I am looking for a capital and I need your advice on which city you like most...

looks ok but i see way too many of that massive blue building
maybe mixing in some different BATs would give the city a more
    unique look.

Okay, but I didn't plop any of those. I think that the rate at which it comes up is far too high, just like Frogface HQ. Can I change the rate without BAT or Lot Editor (unlikely)?

Hello everybody - sorry it's been chugging along slowly. I've just got back from Spain and I've also been indulging my architectural ablities with Nightlife, so I haven't had much time for the New Hague. I shall proceed with the new capital and final terrain very soon.

In the meantime, please feel free to comment

Well, I've finally done The New Hauge. I like my final city, New Kingston, so much that I want it to be the new capital. New Kingston is the lone colonial city of The New Hague, and is therefore a mixture of cultures, particularly French. The idea for the colony was set out similar to Shanghai - the French got a quarter, the British got a quarter and the Dutch got a half. These seperate cities ended up coming together a few decades later when The New Hague became independant, and the many commercial townhouses of the Dutch Concession became residential. The French Concession remained similar and the British Concession was redeveloped into the city's one of two downtowns (the second being Fleur Orientale, part of the French Concession).
So, time to tell the story visually...
This first picture is an overview of the city and the second is a copy with the districts highlighted:

This next picture is Sommerton, part of the Dutch Quarter:
    sommerton3fp.jpg
Now here's The Ridge, the centre of the Dutch Quarter:
    theridge1ld.jpg
Here are two pictures of the Grand Canal, once again in the Dutch Quarter:

This is the Haguenstag, the Dutch Quarter capitol and now parliament to the New Hague:
    haguenstag7fa.jpg
Haguenstag Hill is a little area set out above the Haguenstag:
    haguenstaghill0ub.jpg
Palaisance Park is the beautiful centrepiece to the Western French Concession:
    palaisancepark2hu.jpg
    palaisancepark24ey.jpg
Here is a picture of some development around Joeyburg, French Concession and Elizabeth Peak in the corner:
    motorwaystuff1iw.jpg
Fleur Orientale is the French Concession's business district (it means 'Oriental Flower' because this is where the French discovered a new species of oriental flower):
    fleurorientale5ja.jpg
The central area of the French Concession features the city's university because it was originally out of midtown:
    frenchconcession9lx.jpg
Finally, this is Midcity, the centre of the British Concession

I hope that you've enjoyed this CJ - sorry it's been pretty short. Depending on how my next region turns out, I'll add it to this one...

Well, to finish off, I thought I should do some regional views as well as New Kingston. With the New Hague in completion, I am going to move onto something else, don't know what yet, but I'll be starting from scratch again and I plan to make the cities even bigger than those in the New Hague.
I have five pics for you today:

Nice CJ. I like the high rise building in your cities. Don't see them to much in cj's. Looking forward to your next cj2.gif

Well, it's not over! I'm currently re-developing my tired old cities and turning them into even prettier cities. This is the case for New La Paz which I've just turned into New Macau, a thriving metropolis slightly themed to Montreal with the CBD being a large island. The city is very multicultural with a Japanese District, several Dutch and British buildings and quite a Spanish theme in some parts.
We'll start the tour with an overview:
    newmacaudec110611294101300si.jpg
The city centre is, as I said, on an island along with the quaint residential neighbourhood of Campanas Park:
    newmacaudec110611294101568or.jpg
The airport is one of my favourite features, based on the Macau International Airport which has its terminal on land and the runway a single man-made island. Obviously, I couldn't have the terminal and runway seperate, but it looks reasonably similar:
    newmacaudec110611294101705nr.jpg
The hills of the eastern city across Mack Channel are a great delight. The southern commercial district of the Waterfront looks very dense:
    newmacaudec110611294101913md.jpg
And lastly, a view down Mack Channel to the very desirable channel banks:

Well, I've been quite busy improving my cities and I had a little brainwave which I thought I should show you guys. How many times have you been annoyed with your bland civic coastline? Well, if you use the NAM ped-mall, it makes a wonderful seabed and coastline for your city-centre coasts. I'm planning on trying small rivers with a full bed of paved bricks. Here are two pics of my idea from New Macau:

Thanks everyone! It is fast drawing to a close and I shall post a new region view when I have reverted all of the city's water from light blue to dark blue.

As promised, I am putting up a region view with the dark water mod:
    newhague11300321988bj.jpg
Incidentally, I have been using fewer bridges since comments made earlier, however, I do need most of them for busy traffic across the rivers, so I have been unable to demolish them in older cities.
