Several rockets are being fired at southern Israel daily. What's more alarming is that it's getting nearer to Tel Aviv. It infiltrated the Gush Dan Metropolitan Area earlier.

Yesterday, a woman was killed in a blast in a Jerusalem bus station. 37 other people wounded.

It really annoying that they shoot rockets and explode devices but everyone is still on the Palestinian side like in the 2008 Gaza war 28.gif

Hamas must be getting desperate. The action in Libya probably has all the illegitimate and terrorist governments in the region having loose bowels. You note the Arab League found they had to fish or cut bait, and now Qatar has sent in at least one fighter jet.

If things go to pot in Syria, Hezbollah will be out of business because the Lebanese don't want them around, so they will be on a hot tin roof between a rock and a hard place. And in case you're wondering, Canada considers both of them to be terrorist organizations and forbids any kind of support for them.

I deplore the attacks on people anywhere. These outlaws should be treated as if they were pirates on the high seas.

Why do people and nations around the world resort to conflict? Many innocent people have ended up paying the price with their own lives all because someone or some group of people have a disagreement with something, ranging from hostage-taking to bus bombings to full-scale attacks like the September 11th attacks. Its sad what our world is coming to....

They obviously think that their disagreement is worth it. If it is or not is a matter of perception i guess. Some people would happily die (or kill others) for something that other people would not do such a thing for, even if they're in the same circumstances.

The Palestinians and the Israelis being both of the same Semitic stock (mostly) are similarly stiff-necked. It is interesting to see that some parties in the conflict are to the right of Hitler.

Meh...whatever... not surprised (the whole regional "trouble" and all)...

Sorry for apathy but my heart is focused on a different planet, your region is in trouble solely because of the nature of mankind and religion, another country is in trouble because of nature's wrath.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Well, it all comes down to the Canaanites and the Hebrews migrating from Egypt, doesn't it? We know who the invaders are. The history at the time of Moses was pretty bloody, and it was standard to exterminate conquered people, so pretty much everyone Joshua and his boys caught were put to the sword.

That area of the world has been soaked in blood for millennia. A plague on all their houses, say I.

There is no possible defense on either side in ethics. A cruel set of tribes fighting over the bones of their ancestors. The worst of it is that it is mostly a civil war with brother against brother. Their mores haven't changed, just the veneer. Let us leave them in their pot to boil.

Its been like that in the ancient times, people doing everything to occupy the land of the Israelites.

Before Israel was formed, Jews were only a minority that existed because of the holy sites, so there's a reason why Hamas shoots rockets at Israel. Not only do Muslims don't want alot of Jews, most Arabian Christians share the same view.

Most of the Jews living in Israel migrated from Europe where for many years they have been living a real hard life. They came from Khanaz and are known as Askhenazi Jew. Give an Arabian/Persian Jew some 'jewish' whitefish and they won't eat it, its really a fact that different cultures don't really integrate, even if they had the same religion. Turkish people can't integrate with ethnic Javanese nor can an Arabian Muslim with a Tatar/Crimean. An Egyptian Christian can still integrate with an Egyptian Muslim though, meaning that differences aren't religious but cultural.

Israel is a myth created by an Englishman, David Balfour, in 1917 then realized by the United Nations in a fit of guilty feelings in 1945. Prior to that, Palestine was the descendant from what the Romans left after dispersing the Jews in final exasperation over the Maccabean revolution. Since most of the Jews were expelled or enslaved by Rome, it is not surprising that after two millennia the peoples living there felt attached to the land.

The creation of Israel was one of the last stupid acts by people who thought they could just carve up the world to suit themselves. History has shown that this is not true. Only the people living in a land are able to partition it if they wish.

All modern warfare techniques do it increase the number of casualties. That whole area should be designated as a world heritage preserve, and administered by a people who are not members of any of the claimant religious organizations. I am afraid it is really time for yet another expulsion from the garden, and this time, everyone. No one should be allowed to establish residency in the area, and the holy places kept as monuments to man's inequity to man. Considering what's coming in the climate change, the displaced people here would be a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of coastal people whose land will soon be drowned.

Members on this thread have missed the point that the real invaders are the Hebrews at the time of Moses, and a bloody history it has been since. Let us stop fighting over this piece of desert, and get on with trying to cope with the upcoming troubles that will result as the ice age finally ends. This whole mess is less than a tick in the clock of geology.

the problem is not the relegion, but them, i mean, jews lived among arabs for centuries, like in tunisia, israel gave tunisian jews money to go to israel, and tryed to do the same after the revolution, to make jews looks like if they were obsessed here, while the goverment answered them(before france oocupation, about 5% of tunisians were jews, and after france occupation and after the creation of israel colony, it became few thousands), even the tunisian jews community representer talked about it, and denied any kind of obsession and etc... in palastine, before war, muslims and jews were living as one people, neighbours and etc... side by side, not seperated, intill britain started the zionist occupation of palastine lands...in a short way, political, always politics..

I am afraid you are confusing "oppressed" and "oppression" with "obsessed" and "obsession", friend. Be careful, please, "oppression" and "obsession" are two quite different things. ;)

Let's be honest here, bad word choice notwithstanding. Jews in general have been obsessed with the "promised land" since the time of Moses. All this covetousness is not good for them nor anyone else. There is even a Commandment about coveting thy neighbor's goods (which includes land). It may have been on the second tablet, but that doesn't mean it is any less important.

The Lord of Hosts doesn't seem to be very interested in keeping his promises. Seems to be just another politician. After all, not only did he create everything, if you believe that, he created it in balance, both good and evil. It is time for evil to end in Palestine.
