Where can I find help with simcity 3000?

I can run the game fine in compatibility mode on windows 7, and I've used a little program called autoit3 for ages to automate simple repetitive tasks, which if you know simcity, you know there can plenty of those. With the script not running I can tab in and out of simcity fine; if I start simcity, then start the script, I can't tab back into simcity, it just auto tabs out; if I start the script before simcity, then simcity will start, but it will be completely unplayable and crazy and I need to end task it. The script doesn't do much; the only thing the script is doing when I initially run it is "sleep," or wait, for 1000*60*60*24*7 miliseconds (1 week), and have it wait for a hotkey press, where it runs a simple script to click here or there or something.

Any help would be appreciated, or even just where I can go for help. This is the best place I could find.
