    you can make a plugin to a windows media file by writing this (with < at the beggining of all and <> with /embed between):

    embed src=your file direction type=application/x-mplayer2 /embed

    Host the media off-site and simply like to it. Simple.
    You can use free webspace like FreeWebs or Geocities.

    ImageShack will host SWF files or images (if you want to put Flash in your sig (though it personally annoys me)).

    I agree with that. We should avoid multiple frames and big Kb's, by hosting that content offsite. Even a small thumbnail is sufficient as a link to, Image Shack, Geocities, etc.

    I for one, Like to write illustratively. It seems more creative than a picture. It also, hones my writing skills and is much more fun. Thus; my ever changing and pictureless, sig-motto below.
     
    Edit: yeah; I talk this way in RL too. Lol!
