The i3 (and i5 and i7) brands will lag.

4GB of RAM should be enough if you are not multitasking

The 200 series should be better than the 8 series

It must be the processor. Cities XL original had only 1 thread, Cities XL 2011 has 2 threads but 90% of the calculations/work is on one thread. It is recommended to have a 2-4 core (dual core if hyperthreaded) with each core having at least 3GHz in order to run without significant lag.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

As is begins after 1 hour, it probably would be the memory leak. There's no patch / solution for that yet. Sorry 15.gif

Workaround for the lag: exit the city, and then enter it again. The lag shoud reset (so, another hour of smooth playing). Failing that, exit the game and enter again.

And yes, the lag is currently unsolvable. Focus are working on it, but no success so far. Count yourself lucky that it only appears after an hour of play.
