City Has Vanished

I recently loaded my region up and was surprised to find a large hole staring back at me from the middle of the map.  The City has completely vanished - And I don't mean just the saved information, I mean it's a big hole that I cannot access.  Redoing a city is easy, but I can't even get into it to redo it.  Please tell me this is a common problem with an easy fix.

Well, SLagonia, it is kind of common as these can usually be caused by save errors, crashes in the game, e.t.c.

Luckily, Windows 7 (and Vista) have an easy tool to recover your file.

Right click your Region Folder (I assume you are talking about SimCity 4)

[7] click "Restore Previous Versions"

[Vista] click properties

[-] Click the "Previous Versions" tab

After that all you have to do is choose either the hour, minute, day when u last opened your city with no problem.

Note: Using the Disk Cleanup tool in windows may cause your restore files to be deleted.

Do I need to do that with the entire region or will it work on the file for that one city (the file is still there - Hell, it's still affecting the other cities around it, it's just vanished).

Since the file is still there, you can probably just do that file, yes.

Slagonia, you're talking about regions..... are talking about CXL or Sim City 4?
