Using downloadable regions?

Hello, Sophomore.

From what I've been reading, it appears that SC4Mapper is not compatible with Windows 7, however; I do not have direct confirmation about whether or not it works with Windows 7.  Perhaps someone else will be able to confirm its compatibility (or not).

Are you trying to download a region created using a grayscale image and config.bmp (standard SC4 region)?  Or, are you trying to dowload, install and redner a region created with SC4Terraformer?  Either way, the below tutorials may be of use to you:

Installing a Region Downloaded from the STEX

Installing a Map Created by SC4Terraformer

Downloading, Installing and Running SC4Terraformer

I, personally, do not know if SC4Terraformer works on a Windows 7 machine.  I am using Windows Vista, 64bit and SC4Terraformer works on that platform (as well as Windows XP).

Good luck to you and happy gaming.

Regards,

Vandy
