Sims commuting from City A to City D

As the picture shows, I have set up an experiment with 4 cities. The main transport is monorail, which is modded to speed 12500, equal to 500kph in real world (magnet leviation train lol) I first build City A, then B, C and D, then back to C and B to set up the correct path. After this, just play A and D and the cities keep growing strongly (I didn't take enough screenshot. The final population is more than 50k and demand is very high)

However, I have also discovered some problems.

First, richer sims don't seem to be as good as finding job than the R$ sims. Most of them become jobless even though jobs are avaliable.

Second, I have yet to find the correct pattern to play the cities. Sometimes after playing City D, correct path seems unable to be set up and the commute time in City A becomes 150 minute. This problem needs to be solved for any big region play.

This is because high wealth Sims don't like to use mass transit and prefer to stick with their cars.  If you plan on having any high wealth Sims in your city, either plan on developing adequate jobs for them within city limits or lay down a good highway system so they can get back and forth.  Even with the highway in place, low wealth Sims will prefer to use mass transit and medium wealth tend to use whatever gets them where they need to go fastest.  You can even use toll booths to encourage Sims that can use mass transit to stick with it, while making some extra cash from the high wealth Sims that insist on driving.

to me that seems like a good thing. if you build C in that R city, it should be fairly $$$, seein as the low paid sims have jobs elsewhere already. you should try and see what happens
