Original Thread: forum.citiesxl.com/viewtopic.php

Here is my new application for Cities XL, It includes the Multicore tool and it adds A Mod Manager! And as always report bugs and suggest new features.

Features:
Set the game's affinity
Add/Remove Mod's
Disable/Enable Mod's

Installation:
Just copy the exe anywhere.
Select the settings tab and set the settings.
CitiesXL 2011 Location: Browse to the game folder, it includes the games exe and the Paks folder along with many more.
Save multicore settings, saves the cores you have enabled.
Save on exit, saves the settings on exit.

Multicore Tool Usage:
Select the Multicore tab.
Tick all cores besides core 0 if you have 3 or more cores.
Tick enable.
Run the game.
....
Profit??

Mod Manager Usage:
Make sure you have set the settings!
To install a mod click the install mod button and select the mod(.patch file)
To Delete a mod right click the mod in the list and select delete.
To Enable/Disable a mod either check of uncheck the check box next to the mods name.
Do not delete the settings.bin file that is created unless you want to reset the settings.

This is wonderful!

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

I have tried another version of the multi core tool, works great for me! Less lag, more smoothness while zoning large areas and laying large tunnels etc.

All it does for me is causes the game to just use another single core (having a G15 lets me see all core usage easily), the other 3 cores are untouched by the game

Only possible advantage, is it shouldn't be core sharing, but having that single core entirely too itself... but of course that would be only if windows lets it
