Todays BAT-Workshop got us this far ^^
All my models begun models are in Beta5 Stage, 2 are rendred, all are retextured and Nitelit.

I Also managed to finish off Muzzys ATCT, well, unless you want to change me to fix any details muzzy(like the color of the pillar lights etc), fixed all bugs i encountred earlier. and found a new one. the only way to get the spots to shine all the way up to the top was with a Multiplyer of above 50, i settled with 55, therefor it is very bright at base of the pillar. If i add more, the white brigt spot will grow larger, and if i decrease it, the height of the spots will diminish. its upp to you Muzzy!

Read the above Muzzy, if you OK it, i will send it over ASAP, if you want to change something il change it and repost a picture for you to OK.

And some of my BAT's in Beta5 Stage, Rendering is going tonight.

The Small Hubb got a major rework, the entire roof is remodled, Nitelit, and retextured. i like it a lot better now, and they even have a skywindow ^^

Medium and Small Terminal's, The Medium had some texture changes and bugfixes, and was Nitelit, The small terminal got a retexture and some addons.

Hope you like them, as i said, these 3 will be rendred later tonight. and i should be able to get a closed Beta5 for the SW-Team tomorrow.

Wow, xiziz, that window textures on the roof of that terminal looks amazing. One thing though: It looks quite plain inside of the building which is kinda odd. Maybe you could put some benches or counters into the building, since you can see inside?

terminal project is NOT going well. i can't render it in the right place, there are all sorts of problems. Same for the runway project. i will not be here until thursday.

Philcafe: Yeah, all buildings(exept the small terminal to some extent) are totaly void of things inside, ofcource i know about this and will add things, counters, cafes, chairs, benches, TV-monitors and the lot, they will be there for the final release(and the High-quality render) but i want to make sure they function correctley ingame before, replacing the buildings on the lot later for an new rendred one is simple. Thanx for pointing it out though, i could have totaly missed it 2.gif, its the kind of feedback needed.

toxicpiano: Il PM you my email right away, if you send your terminal over il have a go at rendering it. Might just be some small misplasment that is causing the problem 2.gif

BTW, my renders are allmost complete now ^^

I can render it easy, it's just the positioning of the thing when it's a building. and also the nightlights don't work in the preview, also the bit i'd finished has been lost after i didn't have enough mem, and i then had to reinstall Gmax, so it was lost but i have a backup but it's not finished26.gif, and anyway i'll be away tomorrow and most of thursday.16.gif so i'll get back to you on the model in thurs of friday. Can i have the beta of the terminal on thurs if possible? thanks.

Toxic: Surething, you did centre the entire building before rendering right? Making everything one group and repositioning it so its centred on the X and Y (not height, just width and depth). Otherwise it will overhang. the Nightlighs all have to have the following prefix(wich you probably know) nitelite(and that seems to be case sensetive...

Hey all, im back again, just got them all ingame, in the right place, costing the right amount... but not Airport Enabled... *sigh* ive been sitting up propably 10-11 nights trying to figure that part out... really confusing...

well, here is a small airport i plopped earlier, im only showing one pic here, the rest are availible for weiwing here(because they dont all conain my bats, or fully, wich is what im intending on showing here)

Okay, i just recived an email that litteraly made me bounce into the roof of my room ^^ and thats 1.5 meters above my head ^^

Thalassicus just replyed to my email, he gave me the all go, he is very happy that someone wants to continue developing the pack. And he took his time to explain how to make the terminals functional(with Capacities and all that), and i got the overlays for the Icons.
As soon as i get some spare time, im gonna check it out and make it fluent to me ^^

Oh, and you that did recive the MATP, whatcha think, feel free to post some pics for the public to see. ^^

Did you fix your render problem Muzzy, Scipio?

Just Thought id tell you that, since its highly relevant and extreemly good news ^^

    I fixed it, but there is something weird where the textures on top of the tower don't show up in closer zooms in game... I'll have a look at it. The lot needs to be touched up but then that should be it (Unless you want to make it functional...) And that is great news about TH!!!39.gif

    Well, as its the Terminals in TH-Pack that are funtional, and i think we should continue to have it this way, the tower shouldnt be funtional in that way. I could however add the Icons and Modify the Lot to fit in nicley with the rest of the pack.

    Hope you fix that Texture problem too... i did have a similar thing, but i solved it by removing the Lods, Lighting, centering the building, and refitting lods/lights(not nitelitesm the camera/light rig).

    Okay... ive got the biggest Editing breakthrough ive ever made now, with a lot of help form Mr. T, But i managed to make a Terminal Fully functional, With Capacities, and everyting, I cant really express how happy i am right now with words... so il let the picture do the talking. its poor quality but you can se what im talking about...

    So, this pack will contine in the fotsteps of Mr. T, Im gonna Enable the Small Terminal now, and adjust the Medium one. then all that is left is to actually develop the next lot of terminals...

    Oh, and for simpisity SW-Team, I might aswell do the editing of anything to be enabled in this way, since it has to come with a parent file ^^

    Okay... so now i can go ahead with detailing without worring that it will flunk because i cannot make them functional ingame... WEEIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just to intruduce myself.  I am the new texture-er (Could you call it that?) here.  I will be making some taxiway, runway, terminal and I'll maybe try my hand at vehicles.  I'm working on the first taxiway but what I really need is what you guys need me to do.  Thanks you so much for accepting me Muzz and we should get this thing working shortly!

    This is looking awsome, glad it's coming along nicely. If you guys need any help testing i'd be glad to help (I'd help more but I can't download the BAT or LE, so I'm limited as to what i can do)

    That said he could help with how the textures should look for Runways and Taxiways, he thought the ones in Ver2.1Beta were very unrealistic. Personally i think there okey, but if they can be made more realistic, that would be great.
    Im hoping its not to hard to replace the existing textures in the pack, it should be a simple fileswap i belive, and adding of a few new lots(since tarmac can be placed in any orientation and fit with the neighbouring tiles), my guess is that the taxiways will have lines and details, and have to be placed in a certain order. am i right?

    The runway is already detailed, so it should be a simple swich files, and the new textures should show up.

    Muzzy: How is the tower coming allong? is it getting ready to enter the pack? did you solve that texture problem?

    Im Thinking we could call our Pack the SWAP(SimWings Airport Pack), And have a starting version of 2.2(to make it clear that Thalassicus Pack is integrated.). Whatcha think?

    These look great! Will you make them into ground textures? Or just textures for BAT models? Also, if you know how to make overlay textures, I will show you picture of what I meant in the PM if you don't understand (I don't explain things very well...lol).

    Any help we can get on textures will be helpful so I don't mind bringing aboard someone new to help that.
     
    As for the tower, I've not had a go at it yet, I'll try tomorrow.

    Well quite frankly Muzz, I don't know how to texture, I just can make them, I don't have BAt and cannot becasue my registration got all messed up but anyway, I have a great ability with Photoshop.  I think I know what overlays are.  Sorry if I disapointed you guys. I can make them, I just need the instructions on how to put them into the game.  I can also ,if you need, can be a tester.

    FF: There are quite a lot of people who knows how to do the textures, so i guess its quite simple.

    There is no need to get the BAT, but i belive you need the Reader and Fishman, there both availible from ST(since their fanmade). There should be some tutorials on how to do this around too, Il probably have to learn this anyway, since at the moment im compiling SWAP(Because as far as i know, noone else on the team knows how to make the terminals functional, that said, i dont mind dooing it eather).

    Xiziz: The Tower is rendered and I'm 95% sure the texture problem is gone. I'm waiting to put it into Plugin Manager, I would however like to make it functional, do you want to tell me how to do it? Or shall I do the basics and let you do the rest...? Or do you want to do it?

    I'm also going to struggle with the lot, is there anything in particular people want on the lot? Multi storey car park or ground level? This kind of thing would help me...thanks!

    Seeing as its the terminals that are the functional peices in 2.1, The Towers are more or less landmarks(but with an airport query). I wouldnt mind dooing the modding, but id like you to do the lot(i can allways do it if you dont feel like it, encounter some problems and so on).
    The one important thing to think of is to pull all your normal Bats and Lots out of the pluginfolder, thisway we dont have any dependancies(just for simplicity), These files are however okay to keep(as dependancis, as they allready are). But it be a hassel if everyoine had to download 40 proppack to get the Swap to look allright.

    I belive an groundlvl parking would be the more realistic, i mean, the need for a large garage would be quite an overkill ^^

    Oh, and teaching how to make the peices airport enabled isnt a problem, the only thing is that there can only be one controlerfile(where all the enabled lots need to be noted), and just out of simplicity i might as well make the terminals Airport-Enabled, since ive allready added a few buildings to that list(my pack has 13 functional terminals, instead of the base 11 in 2.1).
    But as TH changed the lots that are airport enabled to the more realistic terminals, instead of the Atct, i would wouch for it beeing like the 2 control towers in the pack are atm.

    One more worry has however come to my mind, The stex has a maximum capacity of 10mb/file, so we will probably have to find someone to host it online(i might be able to if i get through my router... and manage to rebuild one of the dead Pc's lying around my room). We will then upload just the Read-me to the Stex, and link to all avalible Mirrors.

    So if anyone is capable of hosting one or 2 .zipfiles for the Simwings team when Swap is released(within the coming weeks), give me a Pm, id be talking about one large file, and as we update the versions, a patchfile too(so that you wont have to download the entire pack, just the updated files)

    Great, I was intending to do the Lot myself, I was just going to ask for some suggestions. So you can mod it to appear in the airport menu? So all I have to do is put it on a Landmark lot and put it in the LM section of the Plugin Manager...right?

    Yeah, that would work, yeah, il fix the modding, so it appears in the right menu, with a nice icon, and the tooltip will say that you are the batter of it. Il adjust the Plopcost and Maintanace to suit the rest of the pack aswell.
    Id like a name though, if Muzzy's ATCT isnt good enough.
    Oh, and would you want it to say Muzzy or The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz ??

    Il go over the file that Plugin Manager spits out and do some final bugtesting, My models are also starting to pop out in their Finals, Tonight il render the Medium Terminal, id say we might be able to go first puplic release within 2 weeks ^^
    Quicky...
    1. Load PM, make the tower into an LM
    2. Load LE, Open any landmark, replace the building with yours, tweak the lotsize, delete any props that shouldnt be there.
    3. Edit the lot to your liking, Ground Textures, Props and so on(just be careful not to add any extra dependancies than the 3 noted in my previous post)
    4. Zip up the .sc4model, .sc4desc, .sc4lot and send them over to my mail ^^

    On other fronts...
    Did any of you guyes actually try out the Closed beta i sent you? id like to see some Screenes ^^

    Great work, gang!

    Here's a thought I've been mulling over for a while - I'm not sure if this is the place for it, but here goes:

    How about a modular spaceport? Like the airports with all the different pieces for terminals, hangars, runways, etc., but as a place for landing & departing spacecraft. I suspect that it wouldn't be possible to put in spacecraft actually taking off & landing, but it still would look cool to have landing pads, runways, & all sorts of futuristic equipment for servicing spacecraft.

    Kryten; Thanx for the reply. Thats actually a great thought, and its fully possible(most likley even with starting spacecraft, if one is prepared that all aircraft will become spacecraft). As for the Hangars and stuff, there already there, Making some Spaceship Models and implemeinting as props shouldnt be hard, neather would it be to bat a sort of landing Pad(Ive allways thougt of spacecraft beeing VTOL's in the future, from Star Wars, where the ships would land verticly on a pad, a large concreete slab or metal maby.

    Ive got one or 2 spacecraft il be modding soon, for secret reasons, i might release them onto the stex so people could use them for their Spaceport, though one of them is supposed to be an ocean going ship, not a spacecraft, but might look a bit like one nevertheless ^^

    I kind of like the orange and black, but here's the important part.  I'm starting to make some airplanes (my own varieties), and I'm thinking about paint schemes.  Now orang and black i just imediately think something like TNT, but if some SW members want to give me some ideas, that would be cool, and also, the public, I guess your impute would be cool too.
