So I was in San Jose the other day and the signs there were kind of interesting. They were colored (and I like colorful things 31.gif). So I tried creating them.

I tried recreating these examples above (badly, I know, but here they are). I might do some editing with the colors, make them more weathered and more realistic, but here they are as of now.

Here are the signs I used if you're curious

Finally

@ nathanthemayor I see improvement. Keep it up.

    @mrtnrln:

    The chevrons at the exits are pointing the wrong way if you have right-hand traffic...

    I've created a hybrid between older Swedish signs and newer ones, and I'm quite satisfied with them. First a normal T-intersection sign.

    Motorway exit sign:

    I realised they do look a lot like Finnish signs when I was done. :P

    They are pointed wrong, the chevrons should "slide" towards the lane/in the direction of travel

    Entrance ramps go (assuming traffic flows top to bottom)

    v

    Exit ramps go (assuming traffic flows bottom to top)

    I have a question about a certian thing:

    Is the seaport "hook" symbol available anywhere? because it's not in roadgeek icons.

    I have no idea (opens up word and checks), found it, Shift & - (or how you normally make an underscore_). Here are some more signs from me BTW!

    @Riiga: I quite like style 2, except for a couple of minor issues. Firstly, it's ambiguous which routes the dashed borders refer to when there are numbers on both sides, and the outer borders are solid anyway. The easiest fix would be to make the line to the right of E18 dashed. And secondly, having a large blank panel like that for the right turn is just silly and would add pointless costs in reality. I'm all for rectangular signs, but if there's nothing to put there, it might be better to just slap the arrow on top in a small box like it is currently.

    Kind of a mix of British and European signs. It is signage for a dumbell interchange.
