    Hi there,

Apparently almost everyone in my cities finds work that is within walking distance of their house, and doesn't feel the need to look elsewhere for maybe a more satisfying life.

My sims are letting my road network down, no body is driving and very few people are catching the train. Is there a way I can increase road usage and perhaps the distance people are willing to travel to work?

    Regards,

Drastically increase the number of Sims.  They can't all work next door, there are not enough jobs.

Put some distance between the Sims and the workplaces.

As Moose suggested, it could be a result of the layout, or it might be due to other issues. It's hard to tell just from the description. You might post an image of your city to get more specific assistance.

this is actually.... semi-accurate. studies show that people whom make less money generally work closer to home, while people who make slightly more money are more willing to commute farther. but anyways, moosey is right. Drastically increase the number of sims, or start a small industrial city right next to that city ( sims are willing to drive betwixt cities if there is a booming industrial town next to them.)
