Hey everybody.

So for various reasons I haven't had a copy of SC4 for a long time, but am finally getting around to replacing it and getting back into the game of building cities. But, I'm not 100% certain about what are some really awesome mods (aside from the NAM of course - where would we be without it!) as I've forgotten (and lost 2 hard drives ago) pretty much all of what I had before.

So can you all suggest some really cool/vital mods/add-ons/dependency packs?

Thanks!

I think for the most part just picking out ones that ou like from the STEX and the other sites is half the fun.

The Persistent Automata Mod will stop the cars from disappering, which makes the gaming experience much better!

I use the NAM with all the Add-Ons for it (NWM, RHW, SAM). I also use RTMT, as well as the Columbus Terrain Mod, and I also use the Realistic Water Mod. I also downloaded some of BSC's and jeronij's seasonal trees. Also if you want some other great mods, hop over to the LEX, I've downloaded half of my custom content from there.

Utterly essential are the following:

bldgprops_Vol1.dat, bldgprops_Vol2.dat both from the EA (Maxis) site under Cool Stuff.  Of course you have applied the proper EP1 and the BAT update to get your game to build level 640 or you couln't run the NAM.

Fixes:

CityHall_fix.dat

OperaHouse.dat

Plugin_landmarks_and_other_missing_Props.dat

Other stuff at your leisure.  I use the NAM+NWM, and SAM, but not RWH.  This is a personal preference.
