  1. Hey everybody. So for various reasons I haven't had a copy of SC4 for a long time, but am finally getting around to replacing it and getting back into the game of building cities. But, I'm not 100% certain about what are some really awesome mods (aside from the NAM of course - where would we be without it!) as I've forgotten (and lost 2 hard drives ago) pretty much all of what I had before. So can you all suggest some really cool/vital mods/add-ons/dependency packs? Thanks!
  2. Hyskos Bay

Amazing CJ, my friend. Where did you get the awesome curved highways? Is that a recent addition to the NAM?

In our highway, perhaps we'd have an exit linking to the stuff on top of that gentle hill. That way, in real life, you don't have the stuff on top slowing down traffic. There are reasons for both building under (or more accurately, through) or building over. quote> Exactly. Like how the Mt. Baker tunnel has I-90 passing under a bunch of Seattle on the way to Mercer Island and points east. That's what I want to be able to do but the game likes to make the road go over not under. >.< I guess we can and that to the list of things to hope for in the REAL SC5.

  5. Tunnels

Hey. What are the required conditions to get a tunnel to be constructed? I'm talking about the heights and stuff. Often times I try for tunnels but the road just ends up going over the hill that I wanted a tunnel to go through. Is there some mod to make it stop doing that? Any advice?
  6. January '09 NAM Release

How does one get the draggable GLR to actually drag?
  7. I don't care what you do so long as you slash your wrists before getting Vista. haha....

  9. I recently discovered the thread about creating really cool industrial parcels, so that pieces of industrial zoning show up with arrows like res and com zones do. I can't remember who the author of that thread was, but my hat goes off to them. With this new knowledge, I am just curious to see if anybody knows of a place that lists every Maxis-content industrial building in the game so I can know what might and what can't show up in a given size zone block. Anybody? I'd really appreciate any info you guys could provide. Thanks!

When the HELL did that happen? *does an Irish jig* Holy S*** the drinks are on me everybody. lol Is it in the latest NAM? If not, where do I get it!?!?!?!?!?!?!? - Ian
  13. Subway layout

could anybody plz post a couple screenshots of their subway systems - like their normal city view + subway view + transportation view??? that'd be awesome. thx for the help...
  14. Big Cities Easy (pictures!)

CautionNYC - Great start to a tutorial, I think. I saw that you mentioned in step 4 about how the transit stations screw up your blocks. Have you thought about using the roadtop transit stations available in either the NAM or as a separate plugin? Those would solve your problem. - Ian
  15. ANT Network

Regarding the ANT, Is there a way to have it transition to an avenue and then into the rest of the network like real highways, or is it strictly onramp/offramp transitions? ~ Ian
