How do you know which Examplar file to edit???

I'm trying to understand and learn DatGen and Easy Tweeker and am oh so confused. Which exemplar file should you edit and how do you know which one??? There are two loaded each time. HELP!

I'm just trying to tweek my lot for plop costs and monthly costs etc.

Can someone explain the two?

of the two exemplars, one is a LotConfig exemplar and the other is a building exemplar. the LotConfig exemplar will usually have some properties called LotConfigPropertyxxxxxx. the Building exemplar will contain many different properties such as plop cost, query sound, etc.

 

an easy way to figure out which is which is to run the Exemplar Analyser. it's the blue button that says Analyser. click search and notice the right hand column. it'll tell u if an exemplar is a LotConfig or a Building exemplar

just use easy tweaker to do all that, very easy to use interface
