I can verify that it works. Hold down the Alt/Option key, click the application icon to launch (or select from your recent app menu) and you'll get the options panel. Make sure the option key is down before you launch.

is this possible in windows too, i have $3000 worth of downloads and i am really not going to go through and convert them all th mp3's just to be able to listen to them while in game without having to have the memory hogging itunes running in the background.

I don't know about Windows, but in Macs, you can run iTunes with SC4 playing without even having to hold down the alt/option key before load up. If you open iTunes and begin playing it, then go on to SC4 and turn off the in-game music, that also works. So, for Window users, they might be able to just do that.

i know, thats what i had said. i was jyst wondering if it worked on windows though, itunes is a memory hogging beast when you run it with sc4, and you need all the memory you can get when running sc4. lol

I think what he means is that theoretically you could run any music program in the background on your Windoze box and it would work just the same.

That's my take on it, though.

sc4 is a memory hog though... i have a windows xp system with more than enough power... even windows media player, set to the LOWEST priority will skip while running sc4

Or, you can copy all of your MP3 files that you wish to listen to over to the in-game music folder...then, in your options (after the game starts up) go to the audio preferences and select custom music...then, they game will randomly play the music files you put in to that folder.

This is a Mac only feature the iTunes intergration. It's a feature that Aspyr added for Mac users.

you dont use iTunes do you? When you purchase mnusic from itunes it saves it as an mp4 file, not mp3. it is not recognized by sc4. so, i cant listen to any other player that will play mp4's. and besides, they are encoded with my itunes account info so it really wouldnt play on another media player.
