Sidewalks at NAM radius pieces

Is this supposed to happen?...

CurveSidewalks.jpg

I have never been able to get sidewalks up to curved puzzle pieces. I checked all my plugins and there is nothing that should be causing this (as far as I can tell). Is this just something we have to live with? If so, it makes using the puzzle pieces in urban settings an eyesore :-(.

Sithlrd98 has released a bunch of textures for roads & avenue pieces like what you're looking for, check them out. 2.gif

In order for sithlrd98's mods to work, you need to have them load after the NAM--try placing it in a zzz- folder and it should do the trick.

I've been having this same problem and placing it in a zzz- folder does NOT do the trick.  I've tried placing them in the NAM Plugins folder,  their own zzz- folder, everything, and still nothing changes.  I try re-plopping puzzle pieces after doing this, and still there are no sidewalk textures.  I'm getting really, REALLY annoyed and frustrated waiting 10 minutes for sim city to load just to try another failing method and am getting to the point where I want to just delete these mods completely and never mess with them, and just photoshop sidewalks in to my screenshots.. it seems a lot easier than trying to wrestle with these mods.

tSlater, you've definitely still got something conflicting in your Plugins.  If zzz- isn't working, add more "z"s to it.  It won't require replopping for the sidewalks to show up--the change should be immediately apparent.  It's also worth noting that the sidewalk mods for the curve pieces are effectively texture mods.  If you have any other texture mods installed, they may be loading after and overriding it.

also, to speed up the troubleshooting-process, either consider the use of plugin-managers like the sc4 startup manager OR fake their effects in game by moving everything not related to what causes the problem out of the pluginfolder and starting a new region / city in game to mess around there without causing conflicts in already existing cities.

Turns out I had two copies of the NAM installed.  One in the Program Files plugins folder, and one in the My Documents plugins folder.  Removing one of them corrected the missing texture issue, but has also caused a new issue: My preciously made cities are now all inaccessible.  They all get stuck on the loading screen. =[
