Good luck with BATing then! But I think the term you want with Google Sketchup is "model". You BAT using the Building Architect Tool.

Have fun!

Well, someone did a BAT export script for 3DSMax, so you should find it easy to do.  I don't remember who, but I am sure someone in the BAT threads either knows or can find out.  I think the script is on the STEX.

Ah, that's it.  Enjoy texturing and lighting your models.  Don't forget to use the proper naming rules for window openings so that the lighting daemon can find them.  For a real adventure, try lighting in colours other than electric yellow and arc-lamp blue.  For instance if you created a house of ill repute, you might want the windows to light up red.

Just as a matter of curiosity, the old cat wonders why it took so long to download.  I have run that program and it did not seem like a 12 hour download to me?  Were you on a bit torrent?

Well, now that you have it, do you like it better than gmax?  It certainly has a lot more oomph, and goodies.

Truth be told, I make my models in Sketchup and import them. I'm still trying to learn the BAT/gmax in my spare time, but sketchup is soooo much easier.
