I need a lil help

I am having trouble opening my downloads from the ST Exchange. I am running Windows Vista can some one please help me out. For a faster reply feel free to e~mail me back at [Removed sensitive material - CaptCity]

when you download something, it will give it to you as a zipped folder. right click on this folder and then hit "extract all". it will then ask you where to extract the files. make sure that they got to Documents\Simcity 4\Plugins, or they will not work. some downloads have installers. for these you will extract all files, then double click on the .exe file. follow the onscreen instructions and select the destination folder. hope this helps! and welcome to simtropolis!!

it dose not give me the option to extract files. Do I need Winrar or any other type of software to help me extract files???

yeah its free, so use it when it starts telling you to buy it, just hit the x on that box, and you can keep using it for free ... how great is that?

i shouldn't think so. try again. it will only give you the option to extract files if you right click on the file itself.

I can save it to the desktop, but when I right click on it, it doesn't give an option to extract the files. When I try to open it, it tries to open it in my picture browser. The file that it downloads isn't even an extractable file

need winzip or winrar download winzip here:

Once downloaded  & installed the files should then open with ether one.

If you try opening a file & get an error(after installing the above software)

re-download the file & try it again sometimes files don't download correctly.

If needed ask the author about the problem.
