My city vanished!

I was making a new industrial city but the ID demand started slowing down. So I saved and left to region, but realized I forgot to place some power lines. I went back and placed them and saved+exit to region again, but the game froze. I tried alttabbing to wait and see if it would go away, but when I reopened simcity the screen flashed some adviser box and then went black. I moved my mouse around trying and then I clicked something which returned me to the region map. But as you can see, my city dropped off the face of the region. It's just gone! I reloaded simcity, tried going into other cities and leaving, but nothing worked. The city.sc4 file is still in the region folder. Any help?

Edit: Neighbor connections are still working as usual. It's like my city is just invisible...

This is not a rare issue, especially if you multi-task SC4 with a lot of other things going on.. Please take a look at THIS  THREAD

I noticed that topic after I posted this topic.

Anyway I fixed it by importing it onto a junk region to see if it was really corrupted and it was, so I deleted the city file. Luckily I had only spent about 30 minutes on the city, although I was quite satisfied with my road and ferry system in that city...
