Any fix for the "appearing/vanishing vehicles" issue?

Hello there .

Last time I played SC4 was some years ago, and one thing that really annoyed me a lot is the traffic. Vehicles simply appear on the streets, then after some meters it just disappears. It is specially annoying when driving a car (RH exp).

I noticed that there are lots of good-quality mods that modify the traffic somehow, so i wonder if any of these would make the traffic a little bit better. I mean... i understand that it would be almost impossible to make every vehicle have a route, but c'mon... at least the cars should travel a little bit more IMHO.

This is something that would make me play this game again . At least for some days. (i don't have the SC4 cd anymore (just the RH exp) so i'll need to buy it again, otherwise i would install it and download the mods to figure out myself).

There is no way to make the cars stop appearing or disappearing, sorry. How would any cars get on or off the road?

Its a game behavior. You can decrease the rate at which cars fade out, by extending their lifespan or by reducing the recall rate, but no way to absolutely remove the effect. I believe the NAM's Radical Automata plugin increases the lifespan, but also increases the amount of automata overall.

www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm Here is a mod which does greatly reduce the amount of cars vanishing. It does make it look like there is more traffic on the roads though..
