We have been here before, someone says we need a ____ BAT team, but they themselves are not willing to contribute but expect others to do so instead.

That's all well and good, but what incentive do people have to join if you have shown no skill or effort outside of "starting" the team?

Don't expect others to jump on board if you don't show first what you are capable of.

you would start YOUR team when YOU will start making something. Unless you're going to finance something...

As a matter of fact, I entered this thread with the intention of locking it because I could already imagine what I would find inside.

Whenever someone who hasn't released much as of yet suddenly "starts a BAT Team", it actually turns out to be a request for a BAT Team. We've had that millions of times, and everything to be said has been said.

I'm locking this now, and in a few days I'm going to delete it unless there are any objections.

Just to get this clear: halo1dragon, you are absolutely free to start a Dubai BAT thread and showcase your work there, and if you are going to gather some people around you in the process, that's fine.  It's just that these "Team" threads without any actual output (and without any team!) tend to spark fruitless discussions and confusion rather than being a useful contribution to the BATting community. That's because I'm locking this - if you have a project in the works, you can open a thread and showcase it, and I'll be happy to pop in and leave a comment. Just remember that whatever you are writing about should exist at the time you are writing if you want your thread to be a success.
