San Francisco CXL

This is my latest CXL project, a recreation of San Francisco, containing some of the landmarks included in the game (the city hall, Transamerican Building, Alcatraz, Russ Building) and a map I got off CXS (it replaces The Beach map).

How did you get the pyramid shaped boulding and the city hall? Are they downloads or unlockeble things?

That two buildings come with GlobexCO's Unlocker.

The only problem is that it is a little smaller in scale, but still fantastic to use for a recreation.

That looks amazing! Makes me want to buy a new computer so I can play it!

The only negative I have is that the water looks a little too blue. . If you can't find a mod that's OK. That's just my opinion.

Since you are living in Austrailia, This is the first time you are replicating a city that is in the United States in Cities XL.

Well, this is only my 3rd city I've been building in CXL, the other two are Rooleyson and the other one I've been showing a little of. Also, I really don't usually do recreations (unless it's my home city of Brisbane, tried it in City Life by easily importing a massive 20km by 20km map, problem was the absolute low variety in buildings and the not so good simulation; also recently tried it in SC4 but gave up because of the silly restrictions). I prefer building my own designed cities, so this is a rare occasion, but I'm doing it just as some CXL project to see how it looks and as something to do.

No, I've just been quite busy recently, and I also have some other personal problems as well. Anyway, I'm on holidays now so development should slightly increase and I'll hopefully do an update next week or so. Same with my Rooleyson journal.

I prefer to post better quality over better quantity. So, I do less updates and more work, instead of more updates and less/slower work.

Grr, I've been trying to download the San Francisco map, but it never shows up in CXL.

Also, I've used the unlocker mod, but I've never seen the Transamerica Pyrimad in CXL either.
