Trains and automata

For whatever reason train cars themselves, never show up in my city.  The train stations are obviously getting heavy usage, its just i can never see the actual trains cars going.  Yes I have NAM installed.  Yes my automata and all the other graphic setting turned up.  I even tried the persistant automata mod.  Cars and other automata show up fine, just not trains.  Just wondering if it was some setting in NAM I screwed up, or some other mod that otherwise messed it up?   HELP?

Elevated rail and monorail and also canals don't show up either even though there is clear usage.  All other automata shows up well

what side does you game use? RHD or LHD? you might have installed one of the nam files for the wrong side of the road.

I never thought of that. Thanks. My sims drive on the left side like in Euro. Guess I should reinstall nam or something. I remember something asking me that question when I installed it, I guess it was nam.

I reinstalled with LHD and it appears to have fixed a few probs. Can anyone recomend a train to replace the tiny little green train cars.

search the stex - mods section - pic out one you like, download it, and install it.

The "tiny green" things are called the "track checker". Several people have made mods to either stop those from appearing or to "reskin" them to look like something else. If you search for "track checker" you will no doubt find all or most of them.

These are the little green ones im talking about.

But not of them have gotten rid of the little green ones yet.  Have not tried in a new city yet, might be that they are just not working in a already developed city.
