Hello, welcome to Simtropolis! My city is a chunk of farmland sitting on the slope of a huge one,I do hope you enjoy it. I want to scale some plateau cit'es better, I will post some better ones when I make them. (havent made too many plateau cities yet, lol.. Anyway, here it is! 

I also think I can give you a better shot of it, with the urban-suburban are in it, (say that cause it is a tiny downtown sitting on rural areas in the middle of nowhere, with nothing around besides corn and trees! lol,

So there is downtown Broad, and here is one more for you to look at,

Anyway, this one is the left side of the plateau, which the top is across city limits. I will get a view of the other side when I can get around to doing it. The other side is very steep and has some very nice and pretty farmland on it!Anyway, these are all from 1 city, and this one is not much of a pic but I kinda like it cause it included some of the plains surrounding it. Hope you will like these!!!!

You could try carving out the plateau to make terraces. It allows more building space and suitable for farming.
