Hi, I live in the city of Jerusalem, and I would love to have it in my game.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time or knowledge to do that.

Is anybody up to the project?

It should include the architectural style (old Arabian and Templers  bulidings, built with Jerusalem stone), the historical (The Wailing Wall, The Dome of the Rock, The several churches etc.) and cultural landmarks (the Botanic Gardens, The Biblical Zoo, Jerusalem Theater, the Museum of Natural History, the Pool of the Sultan, the Cardo, and the Mahane Yehuda & the Old City markets.)

Please let me know if you're interested.

Thanks!

I'll try to help if I can. I don't have any links but I have spent the last four months browsing through much of the STEX so I know whats out there. These files should be fairly easy to find with search by typing in some key phrases.

First there are a couple of desert terrain mods on the STEX which will help your regions and cities have a more arid look. For flora there are some plopable cactus and other desert brush. I know that I have seen The Wailing Wall, released by Nexis I think. There are a few mosques, some desert themed. There are some other desert themed buildings and Arabic architecture.

I have probably only seen 20 or so of these buildings that might help with your theme and not any other specific ones like you listed. Hope this helps. At least now you know whats out there. Some other people can post here if they have seen any other items that can help with your theme.

    Thank you

I've found the wailing wall, but because there aren't any other Jerusalem-related buildings in the exchange, what I'm actually asking is someone to create them.

And btw, Jerusalem is not an arid city, we have a Mediterranean climate, with 600-650 ml of rain a year, and  10-50 cm of snow every winter 4.gif

Most of the trees are oaks or pines, so I haven't got a problem with that.

Some examples for the view in Jerusalem:

Lol, I didn't know it snows in Jerusalem. I am usually pretty good at geography and history, but I always pictured Jerusalem as arid. The books I have read and the movies I have seen have led me to believe this. The Bible and books about the Crusades as well as The Passion of the Christ and The Kingdom of Heaven, Movies, show Jerusalem as a hot and dry place.

I have never seen close ups like above. Lol, those look like rain clouds in some of the pictures, with signs of green vegetation in the others. Well I guess I learn something new everyday. Thanks for the pics. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

You should visit once, Jerusalem is a really beautiful city, and full of history.

Yes, it would be so nice to see jerusalem and surroundings as a simcity 4 region, or even masada and the dead sea. 4.gif
