Here is a long awaited update. Nothing new really to report coming from Foothills Region. But I do have some new city pictures to show you.
    QUACKINWIG
    /idealbb/files/City
This is the suberb of the capital but heading towards the mountain side. This is where most of the Capital City gets their farm goods.
    /idealbb/files/Quackinwig-west
This is the west side of the city as you cross county line, all you can see is farmland for miles
    /idealbb/files/Quackinwig-east
And the east side of the county.
If we jump to the far west side of the region we have cities Internationhatten and Taporville. Let's take a look first into
    Internationalhatten
    /idealbb/files/City
Here's a full view of the city to start off with.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-chic
The new Chic-Fil-A eatery. Chains are spreading region wide.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-dolphin
    Dolphin Museum at night.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-downtown.JPG
North side of downtown during daylight
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-downtown
This is downtown south side. Home of the International Steam Rollers..currently 80-0
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-downtown
    Downtown south side at night.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-east
The North East corner of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-gated
    The Rosebud Gated Community.
/idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-lighthouse.JPG The Internationalhatten Lighthouse, where 2000 boats are saved each year from running upon the land.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-NE
Here is the NE corner at night. Great spot for night life with places not closing until 6am.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-NW
This is the most populated residential in the city. The Populo Community District.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-PEGS
Ummmm MY version of PEGS RTK set......NOT QUITE sure if this is how it's supposed to look or not?
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-PEGS
    RTK at night.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-SE.JPG
This is the 2nd most populated district of the city....Dose Populo Community District.
    /idealbb/files/Internationalhatten-Southern
And a nightly view of the district.
Now we move about 30 miles north of here and we cross into
    TAPORVILLE
    /idealbb/files/City
    POPUALTION OF ABOUT 62,000 SIMS
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-canal
Here is the Tapor Retention Pond.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-downtown
    Welcome to Downtown/Main Street.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-downtown
    Here's the Island at night.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-downtown
Here is downtown on the mainland. Running by is Interstate 50.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-L
Local residents call this L Land...here's a night time view.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-mainland.JPG
This is a more Southern view of the mainland.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-mainland

    /idealbb/files/Taporville-PEG
Here's PEGS RTK park along the coastal area of the island.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-pic
    Here's a closer look at L Land.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-res.
The South Eatsern corner of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-Taporville
If you head back to the west, you can see many nice neighborhoods as you travel to:
    /idealbb/files/Taporville-Tape
TAPE COMMUNITY. One of the richest community's in all Taporville.
Here is some region pics to see how it's coming along.
    /idealbb/files/Foothills-transportation
    Transportation map 1
    /idealbb/files/Foothills-transport
    Transportation map 2
    REGIONAL WEATHER REPORT
    /idealbb/files/Foothills_Region
Expect the Capital Cities to be a scortcher today with highs in the upper 90's.
A tornado warning is in lace for the Mountainess Counties until 4:00p.m. Foothills Standard Time. A tornado was spotted but was on the ground for a matter of seconds. The upper northern region can expect temps in the lower 90's and about a 20% chance of rain BUT highly unlikely. This would make a perfect day to go to the beach!!!!!

I only have one new city for you and I also have re-transformed Foothills Region. But I just finished
Potawatomi City and it turned out really well!!! This one is one of my favorite cities I've done so far.

    POTAWATOMI CITY
We begin with a look at the entire city.
    /idealbb/files/City
Very dense but with lots of little goodies to be discovered
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
This transit system has a commute time of about 30-45 minutes.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
Taking a close-up look on the east side, we find a community named after the canals. This is the first town in the region to ever have a canal system. The Canal Community hopes to inspire other cities to try this method. Bring in extra water fromt he river, it gets recycled and distributed though out the city for it's every day needs.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
This is an ariel shot of Canal Community. And the corner of the first was the first community settled in this city.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
What a difference on how canals can make a city look better.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
Of course we couldn't forget a night time pic of this general area.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
If we mosey on over to the west side of town, we find the other main downtown area along with another canal community.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
Back on the east side, this is Metropolis Downtown. The major section of the commercial area of the city. Known for it's night life, one can always find something to do everyday of the week in this section of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi

    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
This is the East side of town at night.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
And the West side of town also.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
On the West side is the downtown area called the Southside Downtown. This is where some of your factories are like Coke Cola, the Bank of China and the Empire State Building.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
The NW corner of the city is known as the High Community. made up of high residential, this section of the city is the most expensive cost of living anywhere in this city.
And as we come to a close of our tour of this blossoming city, I leave you with a view of the Native Community.
    /idealbb/files/Potawatomi
Named after the Potawatomi Indian tribe, this little community was settled in the early 1000's by some of the members of this tribe.

*Comments always welcomed, and let me know what you think about my atempt at some canals*

My! This city is growing so fast!
I really like your canals, I haven't used them myself, but I might try it out soon.
I also like how you have developed some waterfront areas, very nice.

Hey great job with your city! I like your downtown areas, especially the area with the RTK!
I see you got the seasonal trees to work, do they have a dependancy? Mine aren't working so I was just wondering if I need a dependancy?
Keep up the great work. :)

I don't think the trees need dependancy....You might want to shout at PEG and ask him for they are his lots. The trees are one of my favorite lots by him!!! Add such a nice view. Anyhow, WOW, thanx guys for all the comments! I wasn't expecting so many. Y'all make me want to keep updating and keep this journal alive. Thanx to all my fans...THANX Dudy for all your help...

Hopefully next update I'll have a region map for y'all. Been busy transforming..or trying to anyway...

    /idealbb/files/Foothills-capital1.JPG
    An outline of the Capital.

    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-airports.JPG
Lakotaliss has 2 airports...an international and a customs airport.
    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-airports
Here it is lit up at night. With flights going out 24 hrs a sim day, a sim never has to worry about not being able to book a flight.
    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-Area
Area 51?? In Lakotaliss? That's where the 35 different ice cream flavors come from.
    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-converntion
A city really isn't a city without the converntion center and stadium.
    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-converntion
    Especially lit up at night.
    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-downtown
The southern potion downtown at night.
    /idealbb/files/Lakotaliss-downtown
And the rest of downtown at night.
