I have a similar and successful thread in the SC4 general forums, check my signature link if interested. I have a CXL map posted over there but it's incomplete... I'll post here when I get one more done.

Actually there is a shortcut to take a screenshot of all the map... (but I can't remember it, try to search...)

Here's my CXL map pasted over from the other thread...

I'll probably try to "tune" the colors closer to a Google map before I finish this thing up, but like I said, I'm still working on it....

The city's changed a lot, I've got a lot more development and a ring road, and I've tuned the map to Google colors better (but haven't updated it for the development and ring road).

I'll probably work on the map once the city's done.

You can put it on night time and turn your traffic map on to get a pure map without terrain, buildings, etc.quote>

This does not capture the layer when i do it

Thanks, worked like a charm.

It did take a miniute or two, it created a 23 megabyte 4096x4096 png file. The game hangs while it's doing that, that could give people the impression it's not working right.

I dunno, it works for me. The different ways to take photos are listed on the CXL web site under support, videa and graphics, then way down at the bottom. It can take awhile as said above, so make sure you give it time.

As to "how" on my map, I took a pic of my city as described, then created the above map in Inkscape (a free graphics program) by basically tracing over my picture.
