Installing plugins and mods

Hello,

I am a little confused as to how to install pretty much anything. I had a quick look around for instructions, but nothing really made any sense, and also, I am not really sure which mod packs to actually install! I was going to go for some transit ones and anything that will give me alot of nice art deco buildings (NDEX files seem to be the ones).

Welcome to Simtropolis...

Downloaded items come in zip folders. These need to be unzipped, and the unzipped files are placed into the My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder on your computer. See this thread for more information on using custom content.

As for what to use, NAM (and its addons) is the one you want if interested in adding transportation options to your game. Other than that, just do a little looking around the STEX (as well as other sites) and see what you like.
