I do sometimes (FSX/2002)

They're okay, but I always end up increasing the simulator speed and landing. Flying around mountanous areas is fun though. And so are the missions, except for the seaplanes where if you slightly touch the dock you fail.

BTW you spelt thread wrong...

oooh I have FSX (sadly only works on the computer that is almost dead 15.gif) and love it! Ran Thunder Bay to Montreal last night in a CRJ-700 (first flight in a while) and I'm still good at it. I mostly like to recreate airline flights and landings (I've gotten pretty good if I say so myself 3.gif) however I'm terrible at flying tiny planes (CRJ-200 and smaller)..

I love it! I used to be horrible at it, but i practiced in RJs a bit, then moved up to 737s etc. Now I can fly transpacific in 773s! 4.gif

However last night I accidentally crashed an EMB175 on approach to BWI. 15.gif

But it was because I just downloaded it and it was my first flight with the plane so hopefully I will get better!

I love FSX and fly often. I have REX (Real Environment Extreme) and am looking really hard at FTX. Check out their free demos of terrain that has no limitations. http://fullterrain.com/product_demos.html  I am currently flyinng in the Pacific North West demo. It's a must have.

I have tons of planes (freeware) and I just recently learned how to repaint aircraft and build airports. If you like flight simulators this is the one to get but be warned that you need a decent system to run it.

I've been getting started with FSX. Love the missions and I'm learning a lot. Also joining a virtual airline.

The more I play FSX, the more I wonder about FS11. It seems like everyone is saying its coming this year, then it doesn't and they go for next year and so on. From what I found, there are claims regarding a new FS, but nothing that fully convinces me. I've owned FSX for about the same amount of time I've been a member here. I just think that the more I play, the more I find things I don't like, and things that should be there, but aren't. Another thing is that MS got rid of the development studio and developers of MSFS so chances of anything soon is probably slim, and if nothing is said in the next year or so, I wonder if something will ever come out- there are other flight sims that want to be like the success of MSFS. It seems like we may be overdue if nothing comes out this year, since its almost been 4 years. Another thing is that FSX was the most successful version yet, and maybe in MS's view, like at the xbox 360, it's potential hasn't been reached yet.

I second that. Awesome add-on. I love the 747 and this addon certainly kicks the behind 3.gif

I used to play MS flight simulater, but I don't think it will work on windows 7. The one thing I don't like about it is that when you go into the air, it's hard to land exactly how pilots today do it.

There's a new Flight Sim by Microsoft. It's called Microsoft Flight and it's coming soon. I hope they improve more features for the next FS 1.gif. Though, I honestly think they should start from scratch seeing that my computer still stutters a bit even if my PC could handle FSX.

It's actually pretty easy. Just need to know HOW pilots do it and apply this. of course, the more realistic the addons are, the closer you get to the "real" thing, but even with vanilla fsx you get pretty close to how it's actually done.

I have FS02/04. I'm not very good at either, but I can fly some of the smaller plains pretty well.

I've always gotten the takeoff roll perfectly. I just can't get the approach right. I'm always too high end have to do lots of TOGAs.

try following the glideslope either via ILS or PAPI/VASI.

or, another simple yet effective trick, focus on a point on the runway, preferably the touchdown marker, and fly "into" it on a rather flat angle.

I try to play when i can (FSX) but my computer cant quite handle it. My absolute favorite addons are any planes from CaptainSim. CS makes the most realistic aircraft i have ever seen. Though they are payware, i enjoy them and i think they are worth the price.

I have had FS9 since it came out, Over the years I've acquired tons of addons to the point of adding a new external HD for it all. If you guys really want a challenge in FS2004 get the Adventures in Paradise scenery package over at AVSIM and try to fly into some jungle or mountain strips in Columbia. If anyone wants a good MP server to fly on try FS TopGun, it is set up for FS2004 and FSX along with our own TS 2 and TS 3 servers.

This IP works for all the servers FSTOPGUN.ORG

just enter it just like it's posted. One more thing, I am one of the Admins there logged in as LT_01 if you see me there let me know if you need any help getting set up there.
