Assuming you have the B.A.T installed it's a simple matter of pressing the BAT tab and then the export button, a .sc4Model file will be created in your documents/plugins folder which can be read by the PIM.

Maybe you've made your model too big. Exporting can take a long time it just depends on how fast your computer is and how complex/large your project is. It's quite easy to overscale things in gmax... how long is your longest side?

Nevermind... I made a new model. The last model was about a 2x2x2 tile cube, maybe less, and it didn't have any textures on it! btw, where do I find textures in gmax? theres no tab, so i can't find it.

and it was taking an hour!?! that's highly unusual. Does the problem persist with the new model?

To apply a texture press the red ball in the upper right, then NEW/bitmap and then drag your image file onto the grey ball and press apply. (you may have to press the blue & white cube to get it to work)

Okay, thanks. What I should've done in the first place is look it up on the omnibus. But when I apply texture, it looks as if it's on a diagnol.

I don't know what that code means but I would suggest making sure it's not something else you've accidentally done. Start a new project, make a small box, do nothing else (don't worry about textures), press BAT & export. Do you still get the same error message?

I don't know, it's been over 5 minutes, and it's still exporting. I have Windows 7, so it might be that.
