Install Problem

Ok ive just bought another copy of simcity 4 and when i insert disc one it comes up with this message:

Cannot Locate CD ROM. it tells me to insert disc tow, but you need disc one to start installation

I am using SC4 Deluxe.

Have you reinstalled since you bought the new copy? The system will look at the OLD place for the CD and if you aren't in the same spot it will report that it cannot find it.

This can be corrected in the registry but the easiest way is copy your old install and save it elsewhere.. then reinstall over your current install, then copy and paste over that install with the old info.. that way you won't have to do all the updates, etc. The startup and copy protection process should work properly then.
