What's your perfect paradise?

Here, you can share your perfect paradise with the community.  What is your paradise?  Is it a hammock hanging between two palm trees somewhere in the south pacific?  Is it a mountain ski area in Colorodo?  Is it a rural village in the woods? Or is it the nightlife in the big city?

Where would you like to live and never want to leave?

For example, my version of paradise is a small straw hut on beach somewhere in the Florida Keys with a beautiful girl next to me and not a worry in the world.

What's yours?

just a small sugjestion hansenawesome15 you need to shrink up the picture a bit.

I like the idea of the deserted island provided theres enough water and food.

no phones, no computers no ,clean air, no other people.

Beach, surf, hot and cold running maidens speaking French and a nice shelter.

Well, Perfect weather sitting on a Patio near Monte Carlo with a Martini in my hand a nice breeze and a fresh Lobster sitting on the table in front of me. And of course nice classical music. After a nice dinner I just might go for a Yahct Ride cruising around the Mediterranean. I'm more of the sort  to enjoy a private game of poker on the Ship with new found friends and just surface around the Casinos relaxing. A Suite with a Balcony overviewing the Country of Monaco is a must and daily swimming is a part of a healthy lifestyle so a indoor pool and a private hot tube is in order as well. Lest we forget the fine Chocolates delivered to my room as my request and fresh roses for my patio. I would also request a Aston Martin DBS Velonte thats pearl white with cherry red interior be ordered and availible for personal use. Its classy in my opinion. Not so flashy as a Ferrari or Bentley...But just enough.

fukuda:  A private carrel in the university library?  I'd fall asleep, or is that a CRAY processor you are sitting on?

A nice place to visit, but perhaps not live forever:

I'd have to agree with Fukuda for my perfect paradise - a library. But it must have a good fiction section.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Perhaps not as long as Valeri Polyakov stayed on MIR, although if I was doing science I could stay for some time.

Food for thought: Since the 5th of September 1989, there has been just over a year without space being continually occupied. And that was between the 28th of August 1999 and 31st October 2000. There were missions in that time, but not a continual occupation.

With a new telescope slated to a LaGrange point, it would be nice if there was a station to go with it.  Near earth orbits are not what we should be aiming for if we ever want to meet the Vulcans.

The point they are thinking of is between the earth and the moon at the point where the sun, moon, and earth gravity fields are in equilibrium.  I don't think we'll need anything but plasma engines to get there.

I was talking about meeting the Vulcans.

What I also heard was that there are more than 1 LaGrange points in the orbit around the sun.

That is quite true.  According to the Wiki article, there are five.  If you call Wiki you can see a map of them.

Im not sure exactly were them new solar observatorys are but wouldnt that be a great spot for them?

Naturally, wherever forces balance.  I gather that the new telescope (Wall?) is going to be at an Earth/Sun/Moon L point.  It is quite far out, and will stay there, period!  I only hope the technology is up to such a long haul or that maintenance will be possible using the new plasma rocket systems.

I am not specifically aware of any satellites that have been placed in any of the others, but it is a good place for a new space station since it would really be permanent.

I'd like to find myself in a mysteriously quiet, parky, urban setting on a partly cloudy day with a nice ham and cheese sandwich in one hand and a crossword puzzle in the other. Top it off with an evening with friends and family swapping stories over a few cold beers. Maybe a few rounds of darts and some good music in the background.

If that's your idea of paradise, look back at some of the earlier posts, especially the ones with pictures.  You might want to yearn for something less practical.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

I think the originator of this thead was thinking of dreams rather than reality.  This is getting far to serious for levity.

In that case, perhaps my depiction would be better described as a perfect day.

I (the creator) was just curious what your paradise is. It doesn't have to be practical, but if that's your paradise, that's your paradise; practical or unpractical. One person's view of paradise may be very different than someone else's view of paradise.

Mountain Dew, I would love to be in Navarre, Florida. It's great that you've lived where your version of paradise is. Where I live in suburban rural Connecticut is beautiful, but it's no perfect paradise in the winter. It's got beautiful beaches as far as the eye can see. I love this town that I live in....during the summer that is....but for the other half of the year it's in a deep freeze and the trees are bare. Add snowstorms and below freezing temperature, and I wish I would be ANYWHERE in Florida. Connecticut winters are brutally cold.
