Hi again!

After moving all my regions to another folder by mistake, and then storing them in the Regions folder again, all my regions (except from Timbuktu), doesn't appear in the game. I have my regions stored in both Regions folders (Documents and Programs), and i have also uninstalled the game two times (without deleting saved cities), but the regions still doesn't appear.

So please tell me:

What should i do to get my regions back in my game?

Thank you for helping!

*Note* I couldn't find an article about recovering regions (or cities) anywhere on the site, maybe an Omnibus article about it?

The region folder in the Program Files is for backup only, they will not show up in the game.  Make sure the region folder in the documents folder is a subfolder of the SimCity 4 folder.

It is, but should i un-install the game and say yes to delete my cities, and have the region on a backup, and then re-install the game again?

Afterwards i could put the region in the new documents folder, because i think the problem is, that the documents folder isn't "connected" to SC4 anymore, because i accidentally moved it to another folder on my pc. The game doesn't create a new one when i'm selecting not to delete my saved cities, does it?

BTW, all my plugins are in the Program Files, and there is nothing wrong with them, so the Plugins folder isn't for backup only?

What you do when you uninstall the game has nothing to do with how the game installs.  So yes, it will make new folders in the documents if there isn't folders there already.

You can rename your documents SimCity 4 folder, then copy your plugins, and region folder to the new SimCity 4 folder after the new install.

When I said the Program Files was for backup, you overlooked that I refered to the region folder, that is the one the game installs the default regions for backup.
