Simcity 5: Empires?

I have seen the petition, watched the videos, etc etc. But what I'm thinking is that maybe Maxis should take the Simcity series to the next and ultimate level.
How about, on top of our demands, Maxis includes in Simcity 5:

• the ability to shape and create an entire island nation- possibly expansion pack.
• econiomic downfalls, invasion by neighbouring countries, rebellions.
• slums, not like a poor suburb but an actual slum
• more laws, tyranny to anarchy, corruption,
• With the nation building thing, creating huge cites and small farmlands, shape an entire economy, be affected by deppressions, widespread storms, hurricanes

Maxis has been disbanded. They thus cannot possibly make any more sequels.

It is also highly unlikely EA will.

What is the next step in the SimCity series? Nothing.

SC4 was the pinnacle of the series, it is being kept alive by the wonderful fan-made communities, mods keep it going. SC4 with mods IS THE NEW SC5.

Astronelson and roflyoshi are right. Maxis is no longer and EA is too involved in the sims to care about simcity anymore. Personally, i believe that these petitions are worthless, because EA wont listen to the consumers. SC4 is the best and last SC game to be made, plain and simple, in my opinion
