I crashed my car today

Well  someone cashed into me anyways. My first accident since 1984.

Car totaled , Im ok though.

Wierd thing, Air bags did not deploy wheni was hit from the rear AND hit the van in front of me.

might be because you weren't hit square in rear.  Looks more like a hit in the left rear quarter panel area.  

Pretty substantial speed probably too, my guess is about a 30-50 mph hit.

Amazing what happens when people are complacent near on/off ramps ( can't tell you the number of times people either slam the brakes or speed up intentionally to keep others from merging ).  I'm betting the van slowed, and someone behind you was following too closely and tried to swerve left at the last second.     

Glad to hear you're okay.  The car can be replaced, you can't.
